The assignment: what would three fashion icons of yesteryear wear today? It came from Ellie Morrison, editor of digital magazine Eleanora, digital director of The Society Diaries, and the voice behind editorial site Oh, Eleanora. My task was made all the more greater knowing it would be featured in the inaugural September issue of Eleanora, a digital magazine conceived to inspire the female experience by connecting the past with the present.
Needless to say, I was inspired - not only by the subjects of my collages (famed Editor in Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Carmel Snow, her right-hand Fashion Editor who went on to become Editor in Chief of Vogue, Diana Vreeland, and Richard Avedon, Snow’s photographer), but by the host of talented creatives (film photographer Rahm Carrington and my artist crush Kelly O’Connor, to name a few) I was able to join in helping introduce such a special project.
